About this Blog

This blog started as a response to Elder M. Russell Ballard encouraging Latter Day Saints to get on the internet and write about their faith.1 I took the challenge and decided to write about the Lord. I wanted to know everything I could about Him and document everything I could find as I studied His gospel.

As my life unfolded it changed in many ways. Through the struggle of seeking the Lord I have gone through several phases and paradigm shifts. There are a few things I have continued to believe and these things have strengthened my faith in Christ. I believe the Book of Mormon is the most correct book. I believe Joseph Smith was an authentic messenger sent by God. We have an opportunity down here in this sphere to gain light and truth. I’m just a guy in your ward, an old chunk of coal, a nobody. I have no earthly or heavenly commission, only a desire to honor God and point others to Christ. – February 2024

I have left a few older blog post up as an archive of my journey. I don’t necessarily agree with my older writings, or I’ve had more insight and would say things differently. Also, I’ve had to wander a bit in the wilderness, ponder deeply over many things, and come to grips with what’s unfolding in heaven and on earth. The Lord continues to change my paradigm. If you want to know what I currently believe, we’ll need to speak in person. With that, here is the original “about” page content.

Hello there friend. I’m glad you found my blog. I have a passion for learning more about Jesus Christ. I know He is my Savior, and the Savior of mankind. I wanted to share my passion and Testimony of Jesus Christ with anyone who would seek to find Him. I hope this website helps you to learn more about Jesus Christ and how you can draw nearer to Him. Please feel free to ask any questions or to share your thoughts and feelings with me. May we all find our way to Him.
“For how knoweth a man the master whom he has not served, and who is a stranger unto him, and is far from the thoughts and intents of his heart?” (Mosiah 5:13) LJ – December 2009
